BzzAgent Review: Neutrogena Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream

A few weeks ago my beloved BzzAgent.com has invited me to join a Neutrogena Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream, and i happily accepted. Not only do I think Neutrogena is a great brand for Skin Care products, i actually wanted to try this hand cream, especially going to Europe for vacation over the winter time, and Europe being completely and thoroughly snowed in, frozen, and super damaging to skin in general due to the harsh weather conditions..

So there I went and took my little Neutrogena travel packs, supplied by Bzzagent <3, andwent on my little trip. I used these across Germany, snowed in Germany, and used Neutrogena every day before I left the house. I even gave some to my friends and fam.

What i like especially about this hand cream, is that it doesn’t leave you feeling greasy as other hand creams, and you ultimately don’t mess up your clothing, grease up your hair or face, and can still continue going about your daily business without feeling like your hands are drained in butter. thumbs up.

The other thing is that, it smells nice, and actually has a very nice texture, very creamy and leaves your hands feeling very soft, and taken care of. My skin looks moisturized and feels good. Review: Head & Shoulders Shampoo & Conditioner – Influenster VoxBox

As an incentive and a good start into a more productive blogging year, I would be happy to submit this last review of the year as a thanks to Influenster, for my recent Vox Box containing the Head & Shoulders Advanced Formula Damage Rescue, Shampoo and Conditioner!

Noted I’ve had a couple difficulties receiving my VoxBox and got it about 3 days ago only, but i’ve had a short chance to try it out and recognize a few pluses and minuses about this anti dandruff shampoo and conditioner.

Now, the shampoo and conditioner both are for dandruff conditions and are supposed to, over time, remove the  appearance of dandruff and give your hair a healthy shine,  condition and nourish your scalp and relieve dryness.

I don’t suffer from Dandruff, but my hair at times does not appear healthy and is rather dry, and this shampoo’s percs are that it actually gives it some shine back. The texture of the shampoo and conditioner both is super creamy and the smell reminds of peaches. Very pleasant and easy to apply. I found that it gives your hair some of its natural oils back, and gives it some structure, but having long hair, i found that the shampoo also weighed it down a lot, without having applied the conditioner at all.

I am sure that there’s a shampoo for my hair type and maybe this one wasn’t it, but overall it, did provide a great amount of noticeable healthy shine to my damaged hair, and that was pretty worth it.  The pro’s of the Head & Shoulders Dandruff Shampoo / Damage Rescue are:

[Reviews] Influenster Relaunch

I’m a little sceptical..but i think I’ll give this another try…So I had joined this program called Influenster (influenster.com) a few months ago, almost a year now..Influenster is a program that gives its members a chance to try out a set of upcoming or popular products, review them and share their opinion with other consumers in the world..

.As a blogger, you of course have a wide platform to spread the word about new and established brands, their new products and their quality, so Influenster is based on the word-of-mouth and world wide web power, and it’s very effective as far as I can tell! Just about a year ago,  I had successfully participated in a few campaigns, and it was awesome..At some point, I believe the participation requirements caught up with me, I didn’t have time to complete certain tasks, and sadly, didn’t receive some of the “bonus” products that Influenster promised complementary for completing campaign tasks..so I guess i kind of lost the ambition to do more, as I felt doomed by the whole thing and customer service there kept giving me a run around every few weeks and didn’t feel like responding..Ultimately, it didn’t feel like anyone there cared nor was going to fulfill the promises written up with the campaign…So i just kind of left it alone.

This morning I received an email about an Influenster Site Relaunch, so I figured, some things may have changed, or so i am hoping. The new site is much easier to navigate and has a bunch of cool features. It has a section for reviews and you are kept up to date about current or upcoming Vox Boxes ( Influenster’s special boxes full of products) – so that’s pretty helpful.

Influenster is a cool program with lots of potential, and hopefully many issues have resolved and staff is more responsible now..I’m eager to participate in the program again and see what it can bring..

Eek! So busy, all the time! If it wasn’t for BzzAgent, i think i would have probably totally abandoned my poor little blog. Welp, I’m back. There’s no coffee in the office today, and I am slightly under the hot weather, but my beloved Bic Soleil Savvy campaign is almost over, and I’m here to report to you, my experience with this cute little razor! Needless to say, I’ve tried several other razors, and always look for an advanced / more positive experience with beauty and hygiene products like this, as some razors come with an uncomfortable grip, or just the assemble part of putting the handle and razor together will leave you cut and bruised…Not with Bic.

TIPS:

Shave at night

Save my Sole! – Dr.Scholl’s For Her High Heel Insoles – BzzAgent [Review]

Hey guys! Quick post! I just wanted to share my experience with these [amazing] insoles for high heels,by ‘Dr.Scholl’s For Her ‘that i received complimentary from my beloved BzzAgent to try out and review! So I’ve been wearing my booties, my sandals, without fearing any pains in my heel or toes! I am truly not the type of person to wear heels every day, even though I am totally obsessed..But the pain and the swollen or numb soles at the end of the day, don’t seem worth it…even though your legs would look a million miles longer, and you would stride in confidence..and you will feel sexy…So eek..worth a thought, but maybe just not every day…Well until now! I really never knew that there were insoles for high heels, besides the ones I would get that resembled or were actual little gel pads that you would place in your shoe/heel, to not slip and slide in a strappy sandal, but I didn’t know there was an actual whole insole that would adjust to the bottom of your foot to make heel-days painless and comfortable!

So i’ve been using my lovely, soft Dr.Scholl’s insoles in my heeled boots for a little bit over 2 weeks now, and feet are looking and feeling good so far! I wear my high heels to work, and out, and my feet were killing me every day after, but with the insoles, the pressure of having my foot in the vertical position all day against a hard sole, has definitely decreased. I use the Dr.Scholl’s For Her insoles in my evening – night out heels, in my laced platform booties and have an extra pair of Dr.Scholl’s for my sneakers in the regular flat style. The Dr. Scholl’s insoles for HER come as a blessing. I remember days, when my mom used to cut insoles to fit into specific types of shoes for me [bootleg, literally. hahaha]  that just kept moving inside the shoe and never stay in place or give comfort. The Scholl’s stay where they need to, the gel-like / non-sticky and soft texture adjusts to your foot and attaches firmly (without a glue effect)  to the soles of your shoes, keeps it comfortable and smooth. My feet feel much better, my soles don’t hurt as much and it just feels so much easier to walk around and handle the daily errands! Stand, walk, and strut in comfort!

I will definitely repurchase these and recommend these to others. The pressure on my feet has definitely decreased, my feet are less swollen and i feel so much “lighter” if that makes sense, after stressing out my ankles on heels all day. The Scholl’s work as a pillow for the bottom of your foot, that pretty much carries all your weight all day. Us ladies need the little soft touch for our stressed out, sexy high heeled feet…this campaign was great! The insoles fit in practically every high heel, boot, strappy heel and sandal! wedges, 2″ heels and up! And they are invisible! Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil – BzzAgent [Review]

The following review will explicitly describe my love for food. JK! No..actually this is a review of the Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil that I received from BzzAgent within the Filippo Berio Campaign, and it will feature a number of my favorite dishes that I was able to cook or implement this amazingly tasty and healthy Virgin Olive Oil in, as a healthy alternative to other oils and butters!

I really embrace healthy alternatives for existing (not so healthy) foods, as hard as it is to stick to a healthy eating habit at all,  not to say all the time. Filippo Berio’s Olive Oil for me, has created a little buffer to unhealthy oils, and has become an alternative. I really dislike butter, and rarely want to use oils, and as far as salads go, I don’t go beyond Light Sour Creme, Vinegar, Lemonjuice and the choice of healthy oils as a “dressing”. If you didn’t know, Olive Oil is the better choice for your life, besides your food preparation and use, Olive oil can be used for the protection and beauty of your skin, your hair, your nails, even for improvements around your home! Beyond the flavorful taste, it is free of cholesterol, trans fats, salts, sugars, and gluten. Instead, it is rich in monounsaturated fats, which is actually a good fat.

I really don’t have time to cook a lot, but when I do, and I really like to prepare home style dishes, salads, pastas, meats ..pretty much carb rich (sigh) foods. I’ve used up my whole trial bottle of this Olive Oil, and actually repurchased a new one..Filippo Berio’s oil is so smooth, flavorful, has a really rich smell of Olives that I find very appealing. I think I made really anything from spaghetti with meatballs, zucchini pancakes, stir-fried vegetables, baked potato, pesto pasta, penne pasta,  rich salads to even using this oil as a make-up remover. Haul: Summer Neon, Gradients & Drugstore Beauty

Ahhh..I never get to update anymore. So this “haul” is truly a few weeks old, and I just always get so busy with life, I don’t find the time to update. Bleh me right. Well, I think since this drugstore haul, I probably purchased a million more items in the meantime that I should technically add to it, but …I’ll subtly skip that…Excuse me.

So a few weeks ago, Walgreens had a big Sale on Rimmel and other make-up items, including Wet’n'Wild and Manhattan, L’Oreal etc…Really great deals, mostly half off the regular price and a total blowout sale (w00t woot!) I decided to stock up on a variety of items, nailpolishes(!), foundation, blush, eyeshadows, mascara etc.

Growing up, and my mom working in the cosmetics industry with direct access to all make-up brands, I always had a little advantage (Momma hooked it up! hahaha Thanks Mom!) with high quality products, and was able to learn the differences and similarities between the $40 mascara and the $3 mascara pretty..Thankfully, for the sake of my adult wallet..Let me tell you, the differences ..are minimal lol. I rarely choose to invest a ton of money into those kinds of “high end” products anymore, because…well for one, it’s a waste..and for two..it’s a waste!

Most products (whether purchased at Sephora or your regular Rite Aid/CVS/Target etc.) are made from the same “ingredients” and materials. Yes, with the $40 mascara, unfortunately the brand name itself becomes the $39 difference that you pay, compared to a drugstore item.

I love make-up and anything beauty related, but you know..us women, we’re crazy..It’s something about a “brand” name product that makes us feel more special, because a higher price seems to suggest a higher quality…In actuality, articles that I would invest in, would probably be skin care items and primers – those are a must…and even with those, you could probably find a great working solution in your own household, your fridge and your pantry.

NAILS:

Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro Nail Lacquer – Wild Orchid *Purple & Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro Nail Lacquer – Rags to Riches

I absolutely love these nail polishes. They last up to 10 days, and the color is pretty vibrant. I’ve barely had any scratches or chips within a week period, despite being on a keyboard and doing housework all week, so this is pretty impressive. The consistency is very rich, so you really don’t need a second coat. The solid color will please you, so there’s no need to apply a thick layer over a thick layer. These work well with an undercoat and a clear top coat. The purple (Wild Orchid) is my absolute favorite. There are so many things you can do with it..I actually used it in combination with a Wet’N”Wild nailpolish to create a nice transitional gradient effect (see pictures). The nailpolishes were about $2 on sale as far as I remember..Their regular price is about $4.99 or so.

Sinful Colors Professional Nail Enamel (Neon Colors)

Ahhh Neon Colors..So Neons are very much in trend right now and I love bright colors. I got these in Neon Yellow 56,Summer Peach 53 and Fusion Neon 60. My main purpose for these (initially) was to create gradients because these are perfect for them. Gradient nails have been very popular lately, so I am sure you’ve heard of them. These are super fun and super long lasting. oh yes, they GLOW IN THE DARK! So cool! The only downfall to them is that, because of the color pigments that create the neon effect, these come in matte and always need a clear top coat, to get a shiny finish. Otherwise they look pretty dull and resemble text highlighters (duh!). These are super convenient and good quality, they DO require a couple of coats, but they come at an affordable $1.99 pretty much at any retailer around you.

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Shampoo & Conditioner – via BzzAgent [Review]

A little over a month ago, I received this great double pack of the new Garnier FRUCTIS – Triple Nutrition Shampoo and Conditioner for dry & damaged hair, as part of the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Shampoo & Conditioner BzzCampaign® from BzzAgent! This is a new, reformulated product,for demanding hair types that are dry and damaged. In an attempt to bring health and shine back to my hair, I tried them out and am here to finally share my experience with you!

As I have used Garnier Fructis products before, I was pretty excited to try them out. I actually love their Fructis Style Shine Glossing Spray  and hairspray lines….Now, my hair…my hair is a whole hair breaking issue for me lol. I have really long, mostly straight, sometimes wavy (lol) hair, that I have successfully managed to damage in my teenage years, by applying direct heat, blow drying, straightening or curling it daily, without any protective products (that were not so widely available about 8-9 years ago).  For about a year or two now, I really took a step back and stopped using direct-heat products like hair straighteners and curlers, and actually try to let my hair dry on its own, so that it has a chance to regenerate..So far my efforts have been so so, as my hair is very fine and thin,  dry and sometimes frizzy, and gets oily pretty quick at the roots. It’s a dilemma!  I was very eager to try out the Triple Nutrition line and see what it can do for me.  My experience with Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Shampoo and the Triple Nutrition Conditioner has been so so…

I‘ve used the shampoo for a little over a month now, without noticing any particular difference in my hair.. It does get a little shiny, but so it did, with my regular Shampoo choices..So I was not too impressed..I’m very picky with shampoo and hair products in general..Besides the great smell of the shampoo, I found the consistency to be somewhat heavy, for my hair in particular….It didn’t seem to bubble up with soap too much, or too fast, and the oils contained in the product, seem to somehow weigh my hair down…Besides that, my hair started to be oilier only after 2 days…The conditioner, I used only at the ends, and it smells amazing and leaves your hair smelling nice..The conditioner works great, yet I wouldn’t recommend it for steady future uses, as it also seems somewhat heavy and leave your hair looking thinner… I am sure these products work for a variety of women and hair types, so maybe it’s just not made for fine hair…It seems like both Shampoo & Conditioner would work great on a full load of frizzy, hard to manage hair, as they would add the necessary weight and nutrients, to make it easier to brush through or style.

For my hair, I wished that they carried something that would provide nutrients, as well as boost the volume and shine in it..Maybe I just have to keep looking through their line to see what’s good for my personal hair type.  Maybe you guys know? So, I’d definitely say the product works, but only on specific hair types and hair volumes…If you have fine hair like me, I wouldn’t recommend it..But I’m happy with the opportunity to have learned more by testing these products with BzzAgent! And i actually really like Garnier Fructis’ philosophy and attempt to produce Eco bottles that use 30% recycled plastic.
